This past Monday night, the city commission of Wildwood, Florida voted unanimously to approve the terms of the Developers Agreement on our fully entitled 36 acres, $110 million mixed-use Planned Development.
That was the final step. It is the step that brings us closer to breaking ground on the first phase of the exciting projects planned for this site
- 339 units of luxury market-rate rental carriage homes, townhomes, and apartments.
- 2nd phase, closely following, by Liberty Senior Living; a 165 apartment active adult rental project
The glowing and positive comments made before and after the vote by Development Services Director Melanie Peavy, City Manager Jason McHugh, CPM, AICP, and the Mayor himself, Ed Wolf, were a breath of fresh air. They publicly complimented not only the project but also the professionalism of our apartment developer, Judd Bobilin, and our land use and entitlement attorney Robert Rosen.
Rick Blount, Owner of Blount Development Group commented, “The city of Wildwood is a big proponent of smart, well-laid-out projects. We have more projects in this great city coming up. Maybe you should consider commercial or residential projects here as well.”
Thanks again to The City and its great staff. Thanks also to Senior Living Developer, Jay Oglesby, civil engineer Bill Burkett, co-developer Tony Benge, land planner Greg Beliveau, AICP, and environmental professional Tim Talbot. Rick went into the city of Wildwood just after the approval and promptly signed the developer’s agreement with Development Services staff Roxann Read, AICP, CFM.
